SDSL or "Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the bi-directional transmission from up to 160 kbps to 2.048 Mbps on a single pair. The base rate is 51.84 Mbps (“OC 1/STS 1”) and higher rates are direct multiples of the base rate, up to 13.22 Gbps. Synchronous Optical Network (SONET means the optical interface standard that allows inter-networking of transmission products from multiple vendors. Network means the hotels, inns, conference centers, timeshare properties and other operations that Hilton Worldwide and its subsidiaries own, license, lease, operate or manage now or in the future. If the right of Use is based on CPUs and if the Licensed Component is used on a single computer with multiple CPUs, the CPU license must correspond with the number of respective CPU’s contained within such Computerįilter means material placed in the useful beam to preferentially absorb selected radiations. Merchant Transmission Facilities:īackpressure means a pressure (caused by a pump, elevated tank or piping, boiler, or other means) on the consumer's side of the service connection that is greater than the pressure provided by the public water system and which may cause backflow.Ĭombined sewer system means a system for conveying both sanitary sewage and storm water runoff.įiber means a glass strand or strands which is/are protected by a color coded buffer tube and which is/are used to transmit a communication signal along the glass strand in the form of pulses of light.Ĭore Network means the transport infrastructure identified in accordance with Chapter III of Regulation (EU) No 1315/2013 ĬPU (Central Processing Unit) means a functional unit in a computer that interprets and executes instructions. Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, physical facilities of the Interconnected Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan. IDSL or "ISDN Digital Subscriber Line" or "Integrated Services Digital Network Digital Subscriber Line" is a symmetrical, baseband DSL technology that permits the bi- directional transmission of up to 128 Kbps using ISDN CPE but not circuit switching. Node means an area designated by the State Planning Commission concentrating facilities and activities which are not organized in a compact form. Interconnection is between a DSX or LGX to a Switch, another Cross Connection, or other service platform device. In locations where automated Cross Connection capability does not exist, DCS will be defined as the combination of the functionality provided by a Digital Signal Cross Connect (DSX) or Light Guide Cross Connect (LGX) patch panels and D4 channel banks or other DS0 and above multiplexing equipment used to provide the function of a manual Cross Connection. For such DCS, the requirements will be, at least, the aggregation of requirements on the "component" DCS. DCS may provide the functionality of more than one of the aforementioned DCS types (e.g., DCS 3/3/1 which combines functionality of DCS 3/3 and DCS 3/1). Types of DCS that cross connect Synchronous Transport Signal level 1 (STS-1 s) or other Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) signals (e.g., STS-3) are also DCS, although not denoted by this same type of nomenclature. This same nomenclature, at the appropriate rate substitution, extends to the other types of DCS specifically cited as 3/1 and 3/3. Types of DCS include but are not limited to DCS 1/0s, DCS 3/1s, and DCS 3/3s, where the nomenclature 1/0 denotes interfaces typically at the DS1 rate or greater with Cross Connection typically at the DS0 rate. For example, a 30 percent bandwidth means a current reading that is either 30 percent lower or 30 percent higher than the measurement from an equivalent historical billing period will be identified by the VEE process as requiring further scrutiny and verification ĭigital Cross Connect System or "DCS" is a function which provides automated Cross Connection of Digital Signal Level 0 (DS0) or higher transmission bit rate digital channels within physical interface facilities. Bandwidth means a distributor’s defined tolerance used to flag data for further scrutiny at the stage in the VEE process where a current reading is compared to a reading from an equivalent historical billing period.
